The Journey Begins

Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.

What is The Joystone Journey?

I am one of those people who sees the world through meaning, symbolism and synchronicity in EVERYTHING. You know, the type of person who searches the internet to uncover the significance of a repeating set of numbers (111, 222, etc), who wants to know your birthday and chart your astrological signs and numerology, and let’s not forget about animal symbolism. In fact – my journey with horses began as a result of a sign that came to me during a meditation – I’ll share more about that in another post. For me, one of the first things that I did while waiting to meet Winston was search for the meaning in his name.

The name meaning that populated the top of my google search was:

Winston is a name deriving from the old English words wynn, meaning “joy” and stonn, meaning “stone”.

My heart and mind were drawn to those words instantly. I have been searching for the perfect name for my blog and future business for more than a year, playing with ideas that just didn’t seem to align with my vision, or purpose — this felt different. I began to connect with the name Joystone immediately. I liked how it sounded, and that there was a connection to Winston, like he is the catalyst to this next step, as if he brought this name to me. I quickly searched the numerology of the name “Joystone” and discovered it is a ’33’ which is a master number! 33 is said to be one of the most spiritually inclined numbers, that is why it is also known as the “Master Teacher” (www.ganeshaspeaks.com) and those with this numerology are known to offer spiritual comfort to all those around them. The root number of 33 is 6, which is the number of home and family, love and responsibility – this was more than enough confirmation for me that this was indeed the name I was meant to come across as it is aligned with my long term vision, and was not just a name to ‘settle on for now’ but a name that I could grow into.

In addition to the numerology, the name aligned with an element of what it is that I am called to do – generate joy, and inspire others to do so, one stepping stone at a time. The vision of my work with horses is to support others in identifying and releasing limiting beliefs, the barriers to joy and connection in their lives, specifically, for children and families – and horses by their nature are the perfect facilitators of this process. So, here we are, embarking on this journey together, I can’t wait to see what we will learn and experience along the way!
